I was born in 1956 to Raymond and Ellen Love of Benton, Arkansas. As far back as I can remember, my Father had me in church and Sunday school at Calvary Baptist Church in Benton. At 8 years of age, I was convicted of my sin by the power of the Holy Spirit and accepted Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior and was baptized. I remained active in the church until my father was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and was no longer able to provide that critical spiritual leadership. Just after my senior year of High School my father left this earth to be with the Lord. I married Dennis, my High School sweetheart in April of 1975 and started a family of my own in 1978 with the birth of our twin girls, Brandy and Mandy. We attended and joined Tyndall Park Missionary Church in Benton. In 1986 we spent the next 8 years chasing false idols and moving from one place to the other to advance my husband’s career. During that time we would enjoy brief periods of regular church attendance. During that time both girls accepted Christ. We moved to Sardis in 1995 and continued to live a very carnal lifestyle. In 2009, my husband became disabled for health reasons and we lost all we thought was gain. About that same time our 8 year old granddaughter, Alexandria started asking questions about God and Jesus, so my husband and I decided that although we had no room for spiritual growth, it was only right to provide her the proper exposure so she too could check salvation off her list of things to do.

I had been watching our little neighborhood church Pleasant Hill Baptist grow and expand for 15 years and suggested we start by visiting it. The first Sunday we attended, I experienced the presence of God as never before in my life, and told my husband I felt called to that body of believers. Dennis was a little more hesitant and suggested he had some things to work out before making such a decision. To make an already long story shorter, we never visited anywhere else, some 3 weeks later we went for and asked to be allowed to join this body of believers, and for the last 8 years we have been blessed beyond our wildest dreams by the Lord and every member of this body of believers. Please pray as we do that when we leave this earth, it will be while serving amongst this body.
