Single Women Ministry

God calls His children to follow Him… no matter our status, no matter our situation; He calls us to be obedient, with no excuses. We, as godly women, are called to be holy in our actions, to be teachers of good things and to be examples for one another (Titus 2:3-4). 1 Corinthians 7:34 says “The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit…” Each of us in our sameness are single, but in our uniqueness are called to serve God.

As God works in lives through personal and corporate revival, and spiritual awakening happens in our midst, He continues to bless our church body! As we grow in number, we grow in needs and in areas we can be used by God to minster to different people in different situations in life. Single women account for a surprising number of our church membership and community that can be reached with God’s comfort and peace and Jesus’ love and healing.

Our new Single Women’s Sunday School class, which provides ongoing encouragement and accountability as we study and apply God’s word to our daily lives as single Christian women, began meeting in July. This class has opened a new door to church members and visitors alike for a safe place to come and share our lives with others that have “been there, done that” and are living proof that God IS ALIVE and is continuing to work, faithful to forgive, and willing and able to use each one of us, if we are faithful to surrender our hearts and lives to Him in sacrificial service. We have listened and learned about and from each other, laughed and cried with each other and continually lift each other up in prayer in the powerful name of Jesus. We are looking to God for direction on the possibility of going through a bible study during the next quarter that is designed distinctly for our group. We meet each Sunday morning during the Sunday School hour at 9 a.m. in the Prayer Room, located in the upper hallway just above the stairwell.
